Union in its effort to assist the coffee farmers’ maintain the quality of produced at the farm level, invested in coffee processing machineries maintenance. Here the union would provide expertise for maintenance of the coffee factories. Equally it would acquire parts in large quantities, stock and have them used for repair as per the society requirements. The union equally realized that societies were spending a lot on maintaining the pulping disc(disc spraying) yet this was key to proper functioning of the pulping process and assurance of quality of the beans. The union invested in the equipment and installed it in its premises to enhance better service to the farmers. The disk spraying service is now affordable and readily available to the farmers. This has helped to ensure that all the coffee factories, have their equipments fully services and ready for the next pulping season. The well maintained pulping equipment is able to perfectly separate the pulp and the beans without causing any damages to the beans and enhance the coffee grading process. We are extending the same services to other co-operatives and private processors in the country, at highly discounted rates
